Owasso Education Foundation Launches Student Ambassador Program

The Owasso Education Foundation (OEF) has officially launched a new Student Ambassador Program aimed at developing young leaders and strengthening the link between students, public education, and the community.

Designed for high school students, the leadership and service-based initiative provides real-world experiences in advocacy, event planning, and nonprofit outreach. Participants will serve as liaisons between OEF and the student body while also supporting fundraising efforts, community events, and educational initiatives.

“The Student Ambassador Program is about empowering students to take an active role in shaping the future of education in our community,” said Brittney Driskill, Executive Chair of OEF for the 2025-26 school year. “We want to amplify student voices and give them the tools to lead, serve, and make a meaningful impact not just during their time in school, but for years to come.”

The program is designed to equip students with real-world skills, effective leadership training, and volunteer experiences while allowing them to act as liaisons between the student body, the community, and OEF.

Program goals include:

  • Leadership Development through training and hands-on projects

  • Educational Advocacy to communicate the value of public education

  • Community Engagement through outreach and volunteering

  • Amplification of Student Voice in foundation efforts

  • Legacy Impact through student-led initiatives aligned with OEF’s mission

Ambassadors will also benefit from resume-building experiences, networking opportunities, personalized recommendation letters, and recognition at public events. Monthly workshops and guest speakers will focus on skills such as public speaking, project management, and social media strategy.

Capstone projects may include fundraising drives, awareness campaigns, or creative student-led content to support OEF’s work.

Students selected for the inaugural ambassador cohort will be announced at a later date.
