Owasso Boys Golf Team Places 2nd At Regionals

The Owasso High School boys golf team delivered an impressive performance at the Class 6A Regional Championship, finishing second overall in a competitive field at Bailey Ranch Golf Club in Owasso. The Rams showcased both individual excellence and team depth in securing their spot among the top teams heading into the state tournament.

Individual Performances Power Team Success

Senior Jones Vrska led the way for Owasso, carding rounds of 72 and 71 to finish in third place. His tournament concluded with a playoff victory over Broken Arrow’s Porter Hart, capping off a consistent showing under pressure.

Also contributing to Owasso’s strong showing was Wyatt Farley, who followed an opening-round 75 with a second-round 70 to finish tied for fifth. Ben Field opened with an impressive 70 before posting a 79 in the final round to tie for ninth.

Rounding out the team’s scoring, Ian Wilcoxen placed 13th with rounds of 76 and 74, while Kyle Kitch tied for 19th after rounds of 77 and 79. The balanced effort across the lineup was key in the Rams’ runner-up team finish.

Looking Ahead to State

With their regional finish, Owasso secures a berth in the Class 6A State Championship. The team's consistent play and depth throughout the roster position them as a strong contender as they prepare for the next stage of postseason play.

Owasso’s performance at Bailey Ranch reflects a season-long trend of steady progress and competitive spirit, and the state tournament presents an opportunity to build on that momentum.
